Amy Jacobs, LMFT

Amy and her golden doodle, Jeff, are passionate about helping people. Whether with a client she counsels, one of the middle school groups she leads, or a therapist she supervises, Amy’s intention is to give attention to the people she encounters and leave them encouraged. As the Director of Group Counseling, Amy brings passion and leadership to our group counseling efforts. Amy is trained in EMDR, Brainspotting, Experiential Therapy, Psychodrama and holds a master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Trevecca University. She is an AAMFT Supervisor under the mentorship of Dr. Dave Morgan. When she’s not in the middle of a conversation, she’s likely to be found in the Daystar kitchen making a pot of soup for her coworkers. Her beloved sidekick, Jeff, is a PetPartners certified pet therapist who loves treats, co-therapy sessions with his colleague Pippa, and playing hide and seek in the Daystar house. Occasionally, he barks at his colleague, Socks, but he’s working on it.
